Ghosts of Di’ablo - Wacky good or low budget bad?

Thursday, June 11th, 2009

A friend of mine (he may dispute that) has acted, edited and what-ever-all-else in the below “blockbuster” Ghosts of Di’ablo. I have not yet watched the whole thing but I am so far moderately entertained. Below is just a 10 minute chunk of the thing. You can watch the whole this as well as some “making of” stuff on YouTube at the Di’ablo page. It beats the hell out of Poultrygeist or Jesus Christ Vampire Slayer. Both of which I watched recently and both of which are horrific.

Maybe I just find some enjoyment out of Ghosts of Di’ablo because I am associated with those involved? My only complaint is that the credits in the beginning are freaking horrific. Terrible choice of font and even worse that they used a font in all caps that should never have been abused in such a fashion. Poor little font. If Eric ever happens to read this post I make no apologies and hope that typographic choice was not his!

Offensive crude and pretty damn funny!

Tuesday, March 10th, 2009

Offensive crude and pretty damn funny! What else do I even need to say? I strongly recommend “Redneck Woman”. “A.D.D.” is a sad chuckle as well. You may enjoy some of the others as well, assuming of course that you don’t have thin skin.

Can I get a water powered jet pack please

Monday, February 2nd, 2009

Damn! I want a water powered jet pack real bad. [link to patent] The best part of this jet pack over other contraptions I have seen it that there is not chance of explosion. It the thing does fail you are only like 50 feet in the air and over water. In theory once it fails and you plummet downwards you will be safe… well assuming you can get the heavy metal backpack off before you drown. Any failures from other jet packs will cause you to have a broken leg or worse.

I need one of these!

I just like it!

The below GIF is just fun. It is not going to blow your socks off or anything. I just saw this GIF someplace and really liked it. It is like an internet bobble head doll or something. With Obama being swore in soon I thought it was a good time to share.

Look at that hat!

Monday, December 29th, 2008

Ah the strangeness that is the internet. Just when you think you have seen just about every possible variation of face plant, the lowest college prank, the best high school drunk picture, the most expensive car in a swimming pool, the most obscure worthless product, the most racist ignorant redneck alive, the strangest head scratching web page, the most pointless blog, or the biggest possible breasts in the world something new and strange pops up. The best part of the internet is that it is so easy and cheap to let your brain dribble all over every computer screen in the world!

Just because you don’t have hours to waste and creative energy to burn does not mean everyone suffers from the same. I say keep the odd, pointless, and strange coming! With that I bring you Oh my god look at that hat. It is pointless, fun, silly and completly safe for work. Embrace the pointlessness Timmy… embrace and become one.

Another great flash game - Robokill

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

In an earlier post I had mentioned what a great little flash game Canyon Defense was. And I would like to report that as of last night, it is still a damn fine game. Now however I have found a new even more impressive flash based game. It goes by the name Robokill and is a lot of fun. There are ten levels and three stages to the game. The first stage is free. Then if you want to continue the game will cost you $10.

In Robokill you run around as a large robot (or a man in a robo suit, not really sure?) that looks like an ED-209 from the 1987 movieĀ  RoboCop. Except that in Robo kill you have four guns and an Ed-209 only has two. In Robokill you use the mouse to aim your rapid firing guns and keyboard keys to move your robot around. I made the mistake of hitting the mouse button for every shot instead of just holding the button down. The game sure was a lot easier after that! As you progress through the game more and varied enemy robots enter the game. All in all this is a pretty sweet game. The graphics are very smooth, the play infectious and the carnage impressive. Explosions actually damage the landscape! The game also lets you save your place in one of six or so “slots” so you do not have to waste an entire weekend to get through it.

Robokill is made (or at least distrubuted) by a a website called rocksolidarcade.com. They have several other well done games as well that I just real quickly clicked on, but Robokill is really a hell of a game. Way back in High School I used to play a turn based game called RoboSport by Maxis. Robokill is not a lot like that game but it still brings me back to that old game. Maybe I just like robot games?

Click, play, enjoy!

This weeks musical obsession - Joan Jett

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

While looking at the HP touch computers online this week I stumbled upon Joan Jett. She sings the “Touch” song they use in the commercial and I had to know who sang that. So she is my musical obsession all week long. Who knows it could last longer! I kind of hope it does.

In this video below Joan Jett is preforming “Fetish” and she is like 50! She looks about 25. I am pretty sure this woman does not age. OK there are some pictures where she looks a little older. She is still damn hot and one hell of a rocker!

So the rumors say she is a lesbian. Who even cares. She can rock with the best of them and I am pretty sure all 75 pounds of her even at age 50 could kick my ass without even breaking a sweat. If the gods did indeed come down and had sex with mortals, Joan Jett is what you would get!! Hercules can go fly a kite.

The best damn Obama endorsement yet!

Friday, October 24th, 2008

Opie and Andy Taylor, the Fonzie, and Richie Cunningham all endorse Obama. Now how can you go wrong with that! Good stuff.

Chemical Brothers - Good Stuff

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

I like Chemical Brothers. However, I have never seen a video by Chemical Brothers. I don’t watch MTV, mostly because it is all crap. So although this is not terribly new below is a Chemical Brothers video I just found. It is pretty good… both the video and the music.

Must watch The Fringe

Thursday, September 4th, 2008

September 8th The Fringe starts on FOX. I am pretty excited about his show. Which means I will probably really like it and then it will be canceled after half a season… bastards. But I am hoping fo the best. Even if the show sucks this video by Kerli for The Fringe is pretty cool. I think the song is pretty catchy! Sorry I could not find a copy of the video to embed. Here is another Kerli song. Of course Kerli’s Wikipedia page.

Wait did this post just become about Kerli? It was supposed to be about The Fringe. Well I am excited about both. I will have my popcorn ready on the 8th to watch the show and I am also going to get some Kerli music as well!

While I am rambling… What happen to Pushing Dasies? I bet those bastard writers are the reason it has been gone so long! It is coming back October 1st!! This show is great and if you have not watched it you have to check it out in October. It is very unique and like nothing else out right now. Fun, entertaining and light hearted with just the right amount of darkness.

The motorcycle you wear

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

So some design student named Jake Loniak designed a pretty damn cool motor cycle. Well designed might be too strong. Came up with a concept may be more accurate. Either way it is pretty freaking cool. Safe no… but what motor cycle is? The only safety you have on a motorcycle is your brain. Pay attention and avoid all contact with solid objects, that is motorcycle safety! Link to story here.

Muppets for laughs

Monday, July 21st, 2008

I used to watch The Muppets all the time as a kid. I loved The Muppets! Kermit and Miss Piggy were funny and the human guests were good as well but what really made the show for me was the cast of odd balls that appeared on various shows. I recently found some Muppet videos that made me chuckle. It seems The Muppets are being refreshed and made internet ready! Much happiness… allow me to share. Beaker and the Chef were two of my favorite characters.
