Sharon was born on October 18, 1942, the daughter of Eugene and Kathryn (Beringer) Wegscheid of Bluffton, Minnesota. She received her education at St. Frances High School in Little Falls, Minnesota. Sharon married Larry Van Watermulen in Bluffton on May 8, 1961. When she was younger, she worked at Tuffy's Dog Food in the warehouse. Later, she worked at White Drug, a job she held for many years. In 1972, Sharon and Larry started Van Watermulen Excavating. Sharon held the position of office manager, accountant, secretary and bookkeeper for 26 years until the business was sold to their son, Gary. But her favorite job of all was working at Jean's the Right Plant Place.

Sharon enjoyed her flowers, gardening and keeping very active with her family and friends. The thing that Sharon enjoyed most in her life was spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. They were her pride and joy. Having bonfires was always her favorite family and friends activity.

Sharon loved watching birds, especially hummingbirds. She crafted teddy bears and gave them to family and friends as special gifts. She also loved playing 500 rummy and board games with friends and family. Her ability to cook was nothing short of amazing. She loved to teach and share her techniques and recipes. And everyone who knows Sharon knows her favorite colors are black and white.

Surviving Sharon is her husband, Larry of Perham; her children, Deb (Jeff) Palubicki of Perham, Dan (Stacie) Van Watermulen of Moorpark, California, and Cindy (Jeff) Heinlen of Brainerd, Minnesota; her grandchildren, Tony Palubicki, Ashley (Brian) Schornack, Tiffany (Kodey Wheelright), Tyler Heinlen, Riley Heinlen, Logan Heinlen, and Garrett Heinlen; her great-granddaughter, Eleahna Stauffacher; her siblings, Joyce (Ken) Price of Wadena, Minnesota, Rita (Ervin) Price of Wadena, Bernice Wirth of Callaway, Minnesota, Bernie (Toni) Wegscheid of Mesa, Arizona, Harvey (Carla) Wegscheid of Wadena, and Kevin Wegscheid of California; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Sharon will always be remembered as a very loving wife, mother, grandmother "G-MA" and close friend.

Preceding Sharon in death are her parents, Eugene and Kathryn; her son, Gary Van Watermulen; and her brother, Don Wegscheid. - See more at: http://www.schoenebergerfuneralhome.com/obituary/S...sthash.Mg7hqgfJ.dpuf
