Wilbur Alois Wegscheid was born to his parents Joseph & Margaret (Peters) Wegscheid on October 21, 1939 in rural Bluffton. He passed away on Tues. evening at the Tri-County Hospital in Wadena.

Wilbur has spent his entire life around this area. He was self employed running his own plumbing and heating business. Wilbur was united in marriage to Mary Lou Nesges on January 22, 1962 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Bluffton. They made their home in Leaf River Township. Wilbur was active in his community. He was a member of the Holy Name Society, was an instructor at the Knob Hill Sportsman Club and was a member of the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, always having a joke available and spending time with his wife and his family.

Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents; brothers John & Norman; and his sister Lorraine Tellers. He is survived by his wife Mary Lou; sons Larry, Jim (Jodi), John (Lisa), Chris, Bryan (Lucinda) - all of Wadena and Steve (Robin) of Hewitt. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Jason, Sara, Tyler, Stephanie, Joshua, Tony, Jessica, David & Logan; his sisters Loretta (Arnold) Theisen of Bluffton, Gloriann (Butch) Waln of Wadena, Jeannie (Dwayne) Brever of Alexandria; brothers Elmer (Joyce) of Wadena and Gibb (Diane) of New York Mills.

Burial with military honors provided by the Minnesota National Guard will be held in the St. Hubert's Catholic Cemetery in Blue Grass will follow the services.
