The below taken from www.549family.com:After high school I went to NDSU, for 2 1/2 years to study Architecture. I decided I need a break from school and enlisted in the US Army. I spent 2 years in Armor, stationed in Kentucky, Kansas & Germany. Once my enlistment was up I went back to NDSU in the fall of 1989, and received a BS In Public History in 1992.
I have been married for nearly 12 years. I meet my wife, Marjorie, at NDSU in 1989. She gradated in 1990 with a degree in Agriculture. She spent the next year traveling/ Working in New Zeeland. We married in September of 1992.
We bought a house close to Dent. I had joined the family business of D & E Enterprises. Much has changed with the business these last 12 years. Currently, our custom cabinet shop makes displays for the retail industry. We have shipped product to all 50 states, Europe, Central America and the Middle East. My father and I share a patent on the shelving that we use.
In 1999, we diversified into building Ice Fishing Houses called Trophy Fishouses. This past winter our fish houses were featured in the New York Times, and also on National Public Radio. In 2000, we diversified again in to the trailer industry. Currently I am the local authorized dealer for H&H, Midso & Felling Trailers. We also build a small retro camper called a Teardrop Camper and turn cargo trailers into Toy Haulers.
My wonderful wife, went back to school in 1998 to finish her teaching degree. Currently she is employed by Perham Memorial Hospital and Home and also by the New York School District. This past spring she was recognized as "Care Giver of the Year for Section C". Section C in Minnesota comprises of 43 nursing homes. Marjorie loves to garden and landscape. Our house we designed/built in 1999 is looking very good with all of her hard work in the gardens, and with the landscape. She is teaching our children how to be good gardeners, which is a good thing since I am not.
We have 4 children. Alex is 8 and is starting baseball this year. Jenna is 6, and is the big helper around the house. Aaron is 4, and likes trucks and building things. Hailey is 2, and she is sweet.
