Kenneth Weller, 91, of Crosslake, MN passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 in Maple Grove, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 11:00AM at Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in Crosslake, MN with visitation one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be following at the Pinewood Cemetery in Crosslake, MN.
Kenneth was born on November 3, 1926 in Blowers Township, MN to John and Scholastica (Wegscheid) Weller. He was drafted into the United States Army during the Korean War. Ken married Dorothy Boozell on June 21, 1955. He worked for Shamrock Industries for over 30 years before he and Dorothy retired to the Crosslake area in 1998. He was a very active member of the Golden Valley VFW Post #7051 and a member of the Crosslake American Legion, Post #500. Ken loved life and spending time with his family. He enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, gardening, and dancing. Ken was also known to be able to repair most anything that needed to be fixed.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy; children, Sandi (Bill) Weller of Tamarack, MN, Greg (Mary) Weller of Edina, MN, Cheryl (Greg) Graham of Dayton, MN; grandchildren; Jessica (Mike) Bovitz, Marissa Weller, Tyler, Seth, and Ryan Graham; great-grandchildren, Sam, Luke, and Kate Bovitz; brothers and sisters, Donald Weller, Arlene Kato, Johanna (Mark) Kato, Joe (Joanne) Weller, Judy (Collin) McLeod, and sisters-in-law, Marge Weller, and Eileen Weller. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Scholastica; siblings, Bernice Bretz, Arnold Weller, Duane Weller, and Isabelle Langer; and brothers-in-law, Leo Andrie, George Kato, Rein Langer, and Bill Bretz.
