Larry Eugean Pitcher, 64, of Pine River died Feb. 15, 2006, at his home.
He was born May 5, 1941, in Courtenay, N.D., to George and Gladys (Van Winkle) Pitcher. He attended school in Jamestown, N.D., and Wadena-Deer Creek School. He married Beverly Braaten in October 1961 and later divorced. He married Barbara Recor on April 27, 1979. He did carpentry work in Las Vegas, Branson, Mo., and the Pine River area.
His funeral was Feb. 20 at the Kline Funeral Home in Pine River with Pastor John Gehrls officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Barb; one son, Eugene Pitcher of Las Vegas; adopted daughter, Elishia Pitcher of Pine River; stepson, John Recor of Missouri; stepdaughters, Deborah (Vernon) Johnson and Sheila (Paul) Sechser of Pequot Lakes, Robin (Steve) Wegscheid of Hewitt, Dawn (Dale) Hensel of Brainerd; mother, Gladys (Oliver) Putikka of Wadena; one brother, Kenneth (Marge) Pitcher of Glenwood; two sisters, Edna (Vernon) Van Orsdel of Wadena and Diane (Jerry) Crabb of Sebeka; 18 stepgrandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Pitcher; one sister, Sharon Taves; one stepdaughter, Beth; and one grandson.
