For the past three years she has been employed by the West Forty Restaurant of Park Rapids. She enjoyed sewing, doing crafts, reading, and gardening. She was a member of the St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Park Rapids. Bernice was our family rock. Always making sure we arrived on time and presentable. Mom always found time to teach us the life skills we needed even when she was pressed for time. All of us can cook, sew, and garden because of the values and lessons she instilled. As a wife, she was always there for family and support. Never afraid to share her thoughts and always making sure we were the best we could be.

Wegscheid of Park Rapids, Minn.; four children – Brad Wegscheid of Wadena, Minn., Becky (Jason) Downer of Duluth, Minn., Brian (Jennie) Wegscheid of Park Rapids, Minn., Brent (Sarah McVicar) Wegscheid of Chicago, Ill.; four grandsons, Johnathon, Michael, Ilias, Uriah; her mother, Ruby Steeke of Frazee, Minn.; her sister, Vicky (Mark) Putney of Fargo, N.D.; her 3 brothers, Glen Steeke; Gene (Diane) Steeke and Calvin (JoAnn) Steeke all of Frazee, Minn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
