Funeral mass was held for Kenneth Theisen age 56, of Bluffton, Minnesota on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., with Fr. Eugene Theisen and Deacon Jerry Snyder officiating. The pallbearers were the Bluffton Fire Department. Kenny was laid to rest in St. John's Catholic Church Cemetery, Bluffton, Minnesota. Kenneth William Theisen was born on June 12, 1959 at the Wesley Hospital in Wadena, Minnesota. His parents are Arnold and the late, Loretta (Wegscheid) Theisen. Ken attended Wadena High School and graduated with the Class of 1977. After graduation Ken was a self-employed over the road trucker. He attended Wadena Technical College and became an electrician. He was the third generation of Theisen Electric. In March of 1981 Ken was united in marriage to Brenda Barthel. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Tanya and Tim. Ken proudly served on the Bluffton Fire Department for 28 years, 25 of which he was Chief. Ken was very active and proud to be a part of the Bluffton community. He was also a member of the Bluffton Baseball Association. Ken love being with his family and he enjoyed watching his grandchildren's activities. On May 3, 2016 Ken passed away at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota at 56 years of age. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Preceding Ken in death were his grandparents; and mother, Loretta. Kenny is survived by his daughter, Tanya (Steve) Brauch; son, Tim (Christina) Theisen; father, Arnold Theisen; grandchildren: Makayla, Kadance, Gannon, Corbin and Kallen; sisters: Vicki (Dave) Chesney; Suzy Theisen; Bonnie (Ron) Price; Mary (Tom) Patron; Anita (Mike) Hietpas; Annette (Dan) Seigel; brothers: Bob (Teresa) Theisen; Dennis (Judy) Theisen; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives
